Deposits, Cancellation, and No Show Policy

All reservations must be secured by a deposit equal to 50% of the total cost of the rooms. This will be charged when you make your reservation. The full remaining balance will be automatically charged to the credit card on file 14 days prior to scheduled arrival.

Due to the size of the Inn and the seasonality of our business, cancellations affect us greatly. Should you wish to cancel or change your reservation for any reason, we ask that you do so at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. At that point we will refund your deposit less a service charge of $50 per room. Cancellations made within the 14-day period will be charged the full amount of the reservation.

Rates

Rates are based on single or double occupancy. Only rooms 5, 9, and 10 can accommodate extra guests. An additional guest fee of $50 per person/per night will apply to all reservations over 2 guests, including children (up to the maximum occupancy per room as listed on the website). 

 

Parking

Parking is limited and available by advanced reservation only for a charge of $45 per day plus tax. We have four spot available. Parking can be reserved during the room booking process, or by contacting Swann House via email at stay@swannhouse.com or via phone at 202-265-4414. 

 

Check-in

Check in time is daily between 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Please let us know if you will be checking in after 6pm. Late arrivals are welcomed as "self check-ins" where guests will be provided with instructions on how to enter the house, and directions to the room.

Check-out

Check-out time is daily at 11am.

Guaranteed Early Check-in or Check-out

Extend your experience with guaranteed early check-in, available between 12pm - 2pm for an additional $50 fee. Late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability, and additional fees may apply.

Breakfast

A complimentary home-cooked breakfast with freshly brewed coffee and tea is served in our Dining Room daily between 8:30am - 10:00am. Breakfast is included in the additional guest fee. If you wish to invite outside guests to join you for breakfast, the charge is $25 per person and notice must be given in advance.​

Age Requirements

You must be at least 21 years of age to reserve a room and stay on our property without a parent or legal guardian who is at least 21 years of age.

Housekeeping

We do not offer daily housekeeping service except for longer stays. Guests may request trash pickup and fresh towels from 8am - 6pm.

Property

Please kindly note that the Inn, property, and facilities are intended for the use and enjoyment of registered guests only.

For the comfort of all our guests, smoking of any substance (including vaping) is not permitted inside the hotel or anywhere on the property (including balconies, terraces, porches, patios, and poolside). Additional cleaning fees may be added to your bill if smoke is detected inside your room.

The grounds and common areas are accessible 24/7. Please be respectful of our other guests by honoring "quiet time" between 10:00pm - 8:00am.
 

Pets

We are unable to accommodate pets.

Pool

Our heated pool is typically open from April-September, weather permitting, and is reserved exclusively for registered guests staying at Swann House. Outside visitors or non-registered guests are not permitted to use the pool unless prior approval is granted, and additional fees may apply.

There is no lifeguard on duty, and all persons use the pool at their own risk. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
